The use of risk assessment approaches for safety determination of food contact materials (FCM) and articles has become increasingly important, both in plastic and in non-plastic materials.
Meeting the new requirements that the European Green Deal is posing to industry will become a must in the next few years, the impulse towards a more sustainable and safer chemistry.

How industry will cope with these new requirements? How to deal with new, more sustainable, raw materials? Will the existing paradigms of risk assessment be still valid?

We have decided to gather in this conference some of the most highly reputed experts in FCM, and establish a platform to tackle the complexity of how risk assessment should adapt in light of the new challenges.
